He is known as an architect, teacher, illustrator, and printmaker.

Because of the architect's background, his works consistently show subconsciousness, dreams, and transcendental intuitions and emotions, full of loneliness, nostalgia, fear, uneasiness, various external vigilance, and realities beyond realities.

For decades, he has been keen to express emotional moods with a single charcoal and the simple spatial perspective to construct poetic and mysterious scenes, and he loves to juxtapose extremes by usually painting an enormous space and then delicate figures within.
