Interview With Demon Ego

Do you like to create disharmony in your works?

- I think that disharmony, distortions, unexpected results, and unplanned things add richness to a work and make it more striking. That's why I like to use not sterile and imperfect textures and colors that seem unbalanced with each other. Nature is my biggest source of inspiration, and nothing is perfect there.

Do you think doing specific tasks requires a strong sense of ritual?

- There may be countless ways to do something, but doing it in a ritual is the best, most personal way to perfect that thing and bring it to the level you want. I do this whether I am creating art, doing sports, or watching something. I don't think this makes his life monotonous, I believe it turns everything into ikigai. However, as with everything, my surreal creatures are independent of this thought. (:

Why is this work (All Steps of the Ritual of Transformation into Animal Form) related to "Trader"?

- This work I created includes my own images. My goal in all my works and my quest to become an artist is to solve my nightmares and fears. In this new work, I both make a reference to this journey and express my passion for transforming into my surreal creatures. The word trade means "to tread a path" in its etymological origin, and this work represents my path, the transformation that I am walking and will continue to walk. I try to take part in my art as a "Trader, dealer, trafficker" and steal the place of surreal beings.
