Interview With Anarrator

Why are the colors of your works always softer, except for the collaborative works?

-I need to use bright colors to express emotions for collaborative works. So, if I use softer colors, it may not fit. Usually, I use more soothing colors because I want to show the world of a young girl in a hazy way, and I don't go for visual impact.

Many works use effects to attract eyeballs, but you're not. How do you get along with the world?

-A large part of my work doesn't contain fancy effects because pixel art is already a very stylized category, and if I were to add effects to my images, it might be counterproductive. A lot of the kernel of my expression is calming, and if I used effects, it might confuse people with the subject matter. But I might use effects as needed to express a wavering mood or a sense of unease.

How did you come up with the idea of using vessels and buoys to show the world of trading?

-My previous contribution to the "Trader" collection inspired me. That's "The Wave". I replaced the trader's wallet with a bow-shaped glass vessel, and the heart buoy can be seen as the trader's mood as the market rises and falls. By showing the world of trading through these elements, I hope this work is not only about the world of trading but also that it carries some of my loveliness.
